I’ve been in vocational ministry since I was 23 years old and I met my wonderful wife Amy in that time. We were at a CIY conference in Tahlequah, OK and somehow a youth minister from Belleville, IL got the number for a sponsor in Ft. Scott, KS and the rest is history.
We have three kids, two are biological and one is just completely loved into the family.
Kaylynn likes to say she’s the “first born middle child”. She is brilliant and keeps us guessing as to what we’re going to learn from her on any given day. She starts at Oklahoma State University in the fall for Zoology.
Asher is our other bio child and he is all boy. He loves our farm and anything that has to do with big equipment moving even bigger stuff. He is constantly building and creating new things with his LEGO and is all about the animals we have. His orneriness is rivaled only by the amount he loves all those that he comes into contact with.
Keyra Eversole is our oldest. She lives with her husband Robert in Ft. Smith, AR and is the best mom to our granddaughter Thea Belle. I am humbled and blessed to have her as a child and to be able to set an example for them in their life as a family.
Amy and I have been married since 2000 and we have lived everywhere from the Texas border to the Capitol of Illinois, but have been blessed to have lived in Mulhall on our farm since 2014. Sometimes all I think it takes to connect me with God is to look around and see the blessings that he has put in my life, and now one of those is EHCC.
We are here to glorify God by sharing the love of Jesus at the direction of the Spirit that leads us. And we’re ready to offer Ponca City our help in seeing Jesus lifted high.

I was raised in Ponca City only leaving for 4 years to attend college at Oklahoma State. I graduated with a bachelors in business administration and majored in economics. I have been married to my husband Phil Turney for 37 years and have two daughters, Blair and Tatum. I am “Mimzy” to Blair’s 4 year old daughter Reese and Tatum’s 5 month old daughter Zoe. I was formerly employed at Ponca City High School for 20 years as a secretary and cheerleader coach.
